There isn't much to say about surveillance cameras most people don?' know. Lets see if I can come up with a few. There is definitely a wide range of cameras out there. Color, black and white, stationary, pan and tilt, low light, night vision, and just about any other kind you can imagine. Some of these cameras have good pictures and some have pictures that are just good enough to view. The one thing that all these cameras do have in common is that without a recording device they are useless if no one happens to be watching them continuously.
Time lapse VCR's are widely used to record from surveillance cameras, it enables you to put a lot more time on a single tape. Who wants to change a tape every day? Not me! Today we have DVR?s (Digital Video Recorders) that can record for a week or two before it starts to overwrite itself. After that it just loops back around and starts all over. So you will always be able to go back 1 or 2 weeks, depending on the size of recorder you have. Also, they are basically like a small computer so you can also go online from anywhere and check out your cameras. What a wonderful technology.
